Reliance Jio has launched a new item-tracking gadget called JioTag in India. The new device can help people locate misplaced items and it is a cheaper Apple AirTag alternartive. The new JioTag is able to track items using Bluetooth and doesn’t cost much in the country. Here are all the details.

The JioTag comes with a price tag of Rs 749 in India and interested buyers can get it via the Jio website. Though, the MRP of the device is Rs 2,499. People can choose to select cash on delivery options, but this is available for select pin codes. Comparatively, Apple’s AirTag is pretty expensive and is priced at Rs 3,490.

Reliance Jio is claiming that its Apple AirTag Alternative can offer up to a year’s battery backup. It can help search for lost items and one can also double-tap on the tracker to ring the phone even if it is on silent. The company also says that its JioTag also alerts people if they forget wallets, keys, or other belongings anywhere and provides a location for the same. The tracker provides a range of up to 20 meters indoors and 50 meters outdoors. It supports Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity.
