Meanwhile, recent reports suggest that the Cupertino-based tech giant is working on newer versions of the AR/VR headset.
Access to Apple Vision Pro Immersive Video Content
Apple Vision Pro users in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, France, Germany, Japan and Singapore can access new Apple Immersive video content for free through Apple. television application. Chinese users can access the same through Migu Video and Tencent Video.
The Mix reality headset is currently not available for purchase in India and it is currently unclear whether users who purchased it in countries like the US will be able to access the new content through the Apple TV app.
New Immersive Video Content for Apple Vision Pro
Among the new immersive video content available for Apple Vision Pro users is the movie Submerged. It’s the first short written for the medium and is slated for release this fall, but the company hasn’t specified a specific release date. The film, set during World War II, was written and directed by Oscar winner Edward Berger.
Apple Vision Pro users will also be able to watch an immersive short film during the 2024 NBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis that includes the first-ever NBA vs. WNBA 3-Point Challenge game with Sabrina Ionescu and Stephen Curry.
Meanwhile, Abel Tesfaye (The Weeknd) will release an unspecified “immersive experience” exclusively on the platform this year. It could be a music video or a concert performance.
Other new immersive video content for Apple Vision Pro includes Red Bull: Big-Wave Surfing, which helps users enjoy ocean surfing experiences. The release also includes air travel series Elevated and more recent episodes of Boundless and Wild Life. The latter is an immersive wildlife documentary, while the former helps users virtually travel through exotic landscapes around the world.
